Kim is an art director, illustrator, musician, and textile designer. She was born in Alaska, and moved all around the U.S. in a Coast Guard family. She's currently living in tropical Honolulu, Hawaii after eleven years in Brooklyn. Come visit!
When not creating colorful, bright art, Kim is traveling, playing surf guitar in her band Puppies, reading, hiking, or sailing around the islands. She shows work in several self-publishing art and comics shows every year, which include the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art Festival (MoCCA), Small Press Expo (SPX), Renegade Craft Fair, and Alternative Press Expo (APE).
Awards: American Illustration 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32, Society of Illustrators 55 and 56, the Clocktower Gallery, MoMA, Art International Radio, and the School of Visual Arts. She graduated in 2009 from the School of Visual Arts.
