Jennifer Geletzke
Jennifer Geletzke earned her BFA from the University of Texas and her MFA from the University of Delaware. She has been making art for 18 years.
“My drawings are often filled with rhythmic repetitive marks. In the studio, my primary focus is drawing with graphite on paper, sometimes including sewn elements and watercolor. I find myself driven by materials. I love the feel of the pencil as it brushes across the paper, the delicate nature of the paper, the way each mark is affected by the next, just as in our lives each action is affected by the one before. I strive to make my work a place of peace, a place for the mind to find rest. In a world of chaos and pandemic, I believe that art can nourish the soul.”
