Faisal Warsani "SUNBURNT" Exhibition
Faisal Warsani's upcoming exhibition, Sunburnt's, opening reception cocktail, will be held at Polu Gallery Waikiki on Friday, August 4th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The show will be moving to Polu Gallery Hale'iwa on August 12th.
Faisal Warsani will hold a live painting session at Polu Gallery Hale'iwa on August 12th from noon to 3:00 p.m.
“In my upcoming exhibition, Sunburnt, I wanted to focus on the mesmerizing world of water, both above and below the surface. Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the ocean here in Hawai’i, I hope to capture the essence of this element and evoke feelings of peace and wonder in the viewer.”
Faisal says,
“I seek to immortalize a moment in time through my artwork, preserving it as a physical token of a fleeting memory. Using the medium I am most passionate about, I translate the visions inspired by photographs and reality into tangible creations. The process begins with collecting inspiring images, and from there, my brushes work their magic to bring those visions to life.
While I draw inspiration from various sources, this exhibition is a personal exploration. My artworks are intentionally miniature in scale, creating an intimate and unique experience for each viewer. I want my painting to serve as a reminder of the beauty of the water and the warm sensation of sunlight.
And a day where one ends up "Sunburnt" is a day that has been enjoyed."

He is taking a massive part of the history of art at its best and bringing it to our modern world with his vast beach scenes, perfect turquoise color choices, calming aerial view of the contrast between the ocean and sand, Yin&Yang, a harmony of opposites, and painting this harmony on wood as a canvas with hyper-realistic brush moves is certainly moving viewers' hearts to take them home.

Faisal's pieces are also practical for travelers to carry on their luggage with his size choices. Each piece is like a carefully threaded bead created by Faisal with the patience of each brush stroke.
As an architect in Hawai'i, Faisal is excellent at observing the details. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin. His work is centered thematically on the sea — beachside memories & the desire to escape inspire him.
